Back to Paradise !

My 2nd Cheetah Experience, I got the chance to come back 9 months after my first stay, that was completely amazing. On my arrival after a 18 hours flight plus a 11 hours wait between all the flight , I just felt the love that the people at Cheetah Experience is bringing the animal. The first thing I just want it to see was James, Vember and of course the new born cheetah cubs (Abby & Apollo). James was the same lovely cheetah, purring like any other day but he is just getting near is full adult size. About the new born cheetah cub, they are just beautiful, running around, playing together…a but rough but so cute. Later I went to see Napoleon, Neptune & Nonix from out side of the enclosure those three are getting so big but are still 3 lovely lions. Two days ago, I got the chance to go with Lizane and play a bit with Pantera the black leopard…he’s just unstoppable, he got so much energy…It feel so good to be back at my little paradise for 4 weeks. Now time to go outside and enjoy the next 3 weeks of my stay. Merry Chritmas to you all.

Thankyou Ellie…

A BIG thank you to our friend Ellie Verwey who recently visited us (originally from SA, currently working in the UK).  We are so greatful for your endless hardwork with redesigning our garden, it looks awesome!  We would also like to express our thanks and appreciation to Shamatate Nursery for donating these lovely plants.  With love, Cheetah Experience team.

Building of a new dam for James & November our 2 male cheetahs

Sunday, September 18th, 2011

Hello..  Myself  Tim & Jennifer are from the Northwest of England. As 40th birthday presents to ourselves, we both booked to come to Cheetah Experience with I-to-I.  We both have a love for animals, especially BIG cats!! We are here at Cheetah Experience for two weeks helping out were ever we can from preparing food, cleaning, gardening to taking tours with the public.  No job to small!!  One of the jobs that we were tasked to do, was to build a dam in one of the Cheetah enclosures. James & November are lucky enough to have in there enclosure a large watering hole, so a dam was required to help conserve water. The amount needed was still more than enough for them to play in & drink from!  The first task was to search around the compound for suitable stones & bricks to build the dam. A good half a day was spent working hard in the South African Sun to complete the dam. A couple of days later the water was added, with no leaks!! James & November went straight to there new water hole and drank from it as if they hadn’t seen water in weeks!!

It has been a Awesome experience been here helping everyone at Cheetah Experience. Riana is a STAR & doing an amazing job. Happy Birthday to us, best present ever.
