My Little Black Ninja!
Tuesday, July 12th, 2011You’re the next best thing after Jubi! Yes, that’s right, I said it! Your energy is boundless and you know no limits! People are always asking if you’re a leopard or a jaguar or a panther – well, you’re a black leopard and any black coated big cat is a panther so you’re one too.
I went to check on you about 30mins ago while on my way to do some office work but your simple being was irresistible and I chose rather to sit with you, outside in the fresh air as you snuggled on my lap. The office can wait.
You intrigue me. I love the way that when you want to run around and the rest of the world wants to rest, you don’t give a damn. You purposefully run ON the lions cubs. You jump onto us humans like a little black flea, you hang upside down on branches and climb everything and anything, your favourite spot is on someone’s shoulder. But it’s funny how when you want to sleep and I try and wake you, you growl and squeal and let me have it for interrupting your sleep. How I love you Panthera Pardus.
While you were sleeping on my lap, I looked intensely at your soft little eyelashes, I saw the bits of brown sand between your black hair. I saw your spots so clearly while the afternoon sun shone on them. I listened to you breath so peacefully and then a little faster as you had a dream and your whole body twitched a bit. The only time that I can really LOOk at you is when you’re sleeping.
I’m so privileged to share these moments with you. I will make every effort to look after you with the staff at Cheetah Experience. You’re precious, you are endangered and you need us. It’s good to know that your safe with us, forever and ever.
A Heartfelt Thank You!
