Cleaning is a real tough job!

Trouble makers

Today the volunteers and I decided it would be a good day to clean the lions dam.  Now cleaning is a task we assign to our volunteers every day, so they are used to it, but today would be a challenge for all of us.  The lions think it is very funny to make our work a little harder than usual.  While we were busy scooping out the old water and sweaping out all the mud, they try to grab the buckets and brooms out our hands.  Now this would usually be frustrating to some people, but the staff here at Cheetah Experience find it very cute and funny.  So we thank the lions cause, while we were cleaning (which is usually not a nice job)  they made it a fun experience.

After we were done and waiting for the dam to fill up.  Alex and Adamo (the white lions) had a little grooming session and made for some excellent photos.  All in all we had a very fun morning so thank you Faye, Alex and Adamo for participating in our cleaning session.

November the cheetah who was operated on last year is recovering beautifully and so enjoyed receiving a Cheetah rugby ball for Christmas to entertain him.  Mo, who has been overly generous, made sure that Father Christmas delivered goodies and gifts to all the animals here on Christmas Day.  Thank you, Mo!  Fiela, the ‘Baas van die Plaas’ (which in English means ‘Boss of the farm’) paraded in her braided Christmas hat…Looking at the pics you just have to smile…

Gorgeous November
