Although we do not have a fixed sponsorship with food for the animals, we have been very lucky in the last while
as people have been generous enough with their offerings of red meat and chicken for us. But towards the end of last week our supplies started to run low. We approached abattoirs and the best they could provide for us was unborn calves from cows. The cows had been sent to the slaughter parlour and it is impossible to tell if a female is pregnant (or so we were told). The unborn calves are used for food for the animals. It’s the cycle of nature… The pictures below are proof of just how pleased the animals were to have a decent meal. The fetuses are very rich in vitamins and nutrients for the big cats.
