General ‘catch-up’ at Cheetah Experience…

Over the weekend we were once again blessed with a visit from Simon and Kyle from have2have along with a group of their very special friends.  Once again they came bearing gifts for all – for the animals and the workers.  By doing so they enrich the services we offer to animals at Cheetah Experience.   It’s really special to have people who are so enthusiastic about what we do and are supportive through the good times but more so during times of trial.  I’m not sure where we would be without them.

The weekend consisted of lots of celebrating.  Riana celebrated her birthday on Saturday evening along with May-Louise, another volunteer.  There was chatting, laughing, the smell of a lamb on the spit (sponsored by have2have), the air was warm and the evening peaceful.  After waiting and waiting and waiting we eventually got to devour our delicious food!  The company was outstanding and the animals were once again a hot topic of conversation.  Evenings like this provide for great brain storming ideas!  Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Saturday evening so full of fun!

Saint Andrew’s Pre-Primary visited Cheetah Experience this week too, the boys didn’t want to leave and couldn’t believe that Aunty Riana sleeps with four cheetahs on her bed!  The highlight of the excursion was for sure,  touching a cheetah!  The camera never stopped snapping as we needed proof for the moms and dads waiting excitedly for a run-down of the days events.

So far this week, we have had rain and rain and more rain…wouldn’t it be great if it could rain lions and cheetahs instead of ‘cats and dogs’?!
