Yesterday the wolves were moved to the big lion camp enclosure to settle into their new home. Elsa, the 1 year old female lion went on a walk to the lion camp as she will also be living there permanently but she was not impressed by being so far from the house and refused to enter the camp. Being a true cat, she took hours to walk back to the house just to prove that she is the boss and we are not!
Astro the jaguar will be leaving us on Thursday as he has a new home where he will be looked after very well. Jack the white lion cub spent his second night outside with the bigger white lions and he is adapting very well.
The big storage freezer arrived today so we now have a lot of space to store our chicken for the cats. The community has really been fabulous in helping out where they can. The mood is very festive as we make final preparations for our Country and Western Evening on Saturday in order to raise money for cheetah breeding camps and lion camps.
We have a gospel band from Australia called the Planet Shakers, visiting us in just under an hour. Good times…
